Jambojet Celebrates Inaugural Flight From Mombasa to Zanzibar
Back in February, Jamobojet announced that it will start its direct flights from the coastal city of Mombasa to Zanzibar in July 2024. Connecting these two holiday destinations is meant to take advantage of the tourists who hop between the destinations during this peak season.
Zanzibar is Jambojet’s 8th destination across the region and the second route out of Kenya. The other destination out of kenya that is operational at the moment is the Nairobi to Goma (DRC). The other destinations Jambojet operates to include Mombasa, Eldoret, Ukunda, Malindi, Kisumu and Lamu.
Jambojet Mombasa to Zanzibar Route
For the Mombasa to Zanzibar route, Jambojet will fly four times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The rate between the two destinations currently ranges between Ksh 15,000 and Ksh 17,100 one way.
The flight departs Mombasa from Terminal 1, Moi International Airport at 15:35 and arrives in Zanzibar Abeid Amani Karume International Airport 55 minutes later at 16:30. The return flight departs Zanzibar at 17:10 and arrives in Mombasa at 18:05.
