Kenya Airways and Air Tanzania Sign MoU to Strengthen Regional Aviation Ties
Kenya Airways (KQ) and Air Tanzania have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that seeks to deepen cooperation and enhance connectivity in East and Southern Africa. The two east African carriers said some of the main areas addressed in this collaboration include:
- Human resource training and exchange of expertise
- Engineering and aircraft maintenance
- Technical cooperation and cargo operations
- Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)
- Innovation, safety and best practice sharing
Through this partnership, Kenya Airways and Air Tanzania will facilitate seamless travel experiences, improve efficiency, and offer more unified air services. The two hope this will go a long way in supporting regional economic integration, trade, and tourism.
“This partnership underscores our commitment to building regional capacity to support economic growth, trade, and tourism across East Africa,” said Allan Kilavuka, Group MD and CEO of Kenya Airways. “By collaborating closely with Air Tanzania, we can jointly offer our passengers and cargo clients more flexible and efficient travel solutions.”
