Skyward Express to Start Direct Flight to Dar Es Salaam in November
Skyward Express plans to start direct flights from Nairobi to Dar es Salaam in November. This will be the airline’s inaugural flight out of Kenya as it currently only operates within Kenya to up to 10 destinations daily mostly from Wilson airport.
The airline operates daily flights to Mombasa, Kisumu, Diani, Lamu, Malindi, Lodwar, Kakamega, Kitale and Migori. Skyward recently acquired a Dash 8 Q400 that will be added to its fleet. This will not be the aircraft for this route as the airline will be using a Fokker 100 aircraft.
The inaugural flight from Nairobi to Dar es Salaam is set for November 15. Bookings for this route are currently open with a one-way trip costing Ksh 18,500, a bit cheaper than what Kenya Airways charges.
Skyward will fly to Dar es Salaam three times a week on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays. The airline is targeting business professionals and well as tourists who want to explore Dar es Salaam.
